Accompanying Spouses,
Partners or Friends are most welcome to come to all ISSI-2001 Social
Events, including the Conference Outing, the Conference Dinner, and
the Price Award Ceremony. However, there is a fee for these events
of Australian $150.
We would appreciate knowing well ahead of time about extra guests
for social events so that we can book sufficient places and order
sufficient food and beverage. Thus, we would appreciate bookings
(even tentative ones) ahead of time. However, we understand that
various people may be uncertain about whether partners etc. can
accompany them to Australia. In this case we could accept payment
for any extra social events for partners and friends on arrival in
Australia at the Registration in the Scientia Venue on Sunday 15th
July.
Registrants for the
ISSI-2001 conference are requested to make their bookings
themselves.
The ISSI Conference Organizers will only arrange accommodation for
those participants who are being offered sponsored or supported
accommodation for the Conference. All others must arrange
accommodation directly for themselves.
ISSI-2001 Recommended Accommodation
We have made prior arrangements with several hotels, apartments or
University Colleges for the Conference. These are listed on the
ISSI-2001 Web page. We have negotiated special Conference rates at
these places. All are all either within walking distance of the
Conference venue or within fairly close range of UNSW. A bus service
each morning will take participants from the Holiday Inn, Coogee to the University Scientia.
All the Internet urls, emails and phone numbers are listed on the
ISSI-Web page for you to make a correct booking. Remember to make it
plain that you are a booking for the 8th International Conference on
Scientometrics & Informetrics at UNSW so that you will get the
special UNSW Conference rate. If you forget, you may be charged a
full rates.
Other Accommodation
If registrants wish to make their own bookings at other hotels, that
is perfectly permissible.

Submit registration details via the web
form. To complete this form, please follow the link below.
Step 2 :
Print the reply letter from the submission of step 1. Fill in the
necessary information on the letter including your form for payment.
Then (airmail) post it to the following address.
- If you are paying by Bank Cheque or Money Order, please
include it in your letter __ you may write
"ISSI-2001 Account" on the back of the Cheque or Money
Order.
- If paying by credit card, remember to fill in the card number
and expiry date details and provide us with your signature.
