Full papers in the correct format ready for publication in the Conference Proceedings must be received by the Conference Secretariat - UNSW, School of Information Systems, Technology and Management, Sydney 2052 AUSTRALIA - no later than Friday 8th June 2001.

Scientometrics Journal will publish selected papers

The Organisers of the 8th International Conference on Scientometrics and Informetrics and the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Scientometrics have agreed upon the publication of selected conference papers in a dedicated issue of Scientometrics.  Authors of papers accepted for oral presentation are asked to submit the final version of their contribution (2 hard copies and an electronic version) by 30th September 2001 to Tibor Braun (h1533bra@ella.hu) or Wolfgang Glänzel (wglaenzel@web.de).

Papers accepted for poster presentation or papers submitted after the above deadline cannot be considered for publication in this Special ISSI-2001 issue.  Authors are asked to organise their papers according to the guidelines for contributors as described in each issue of the journal.

The dedicated issue admits the publication of about 15-20 contributions (depending on the selected papers' length).  Selection criteria are scope quality and length.  Submitted papers should not exceed 15 pages (including tables and figures).

Authors who are interested in submitting their contributions for possible publication in the planned ISSI-2001 Sydney issue of Scientometrics are asked to register no later than 31st August by email at h1533bra@ella.hu or wglaenzel@web.de

Authors (at least one person) of accepted papers must register and attend the conference. Before an accepted paper is published in the Proceedings volume, the Registration fee for at least one of the authors must have been received. No late entries for the Proceedings volume will be accepted.

Regardless of whether the author provides a diskette or sends an electronic version, please indicate which program was used.
